Essential habits for a healthy summer.

To all my southern hemisphere angels, Summer is coming! Things are heating up here in Australia, and I am so excited to spend weekends at the beach, warm nights out in Byron and eating copious amounts of mango. 


Summer means warm weather, long days and lots of celebrating. So, to keep you feeling healthy and happy for the approaching season, here are some of my favourite tips:

 

1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

You already know what I’m about to say…. drink. your. water. Staying hydrated is so important for your body, skin & digestion, especially in Summer when temperatures are hot.

2. Nourish your body with healthy food

Think fresh salads, smoothie bowls using seasonal fruit and wholesome breakfasts to start your day right. I love going to the farmer’s markets and picking up whatever fruit and veg is in season, plus it means you’re supporting local. If you’re lacking inspo, check out our Hustl Health recipes here.

3. Wake up and move your body

Dedicate some time in the morning to move your body and set your intentions for the day. This could be a simple 10 minute stretch, a morning walk or swim at the beach - whatever brings you joy. Taking time to do this each morning allows me to go into the day feeling calm and in control.

4. SPF is your best friend

We love spending time outside and in nature in Summer, but looking after your skin and wearing a good quality sunscreen every day is essential, especially here in Australia. Promise me you’ll apply SPF daily to protect your beautiful faces.
