5 WAYS TO BOOST IMMUNITY THIS WINTER.

Winter is officially here this week, and while I will admit I’m a little bit excited to get my warm clothes out, I am not excited at the thought of getting a cold with the change of weather. As temps drop we are more susceptible to becoming run down, so it is an important time to focus on our health and look after our bodies. Keep reading for 5 ways to naturally boost your immunity and stay healthy this Winter!

Move
Simple, but necessary.Try your best to move daily, and I promise your body will thank you for it. Moving daily boosts your blood flow and can help encourage the production of white blood cells, protecting your body from disease. If you’re running low on time angels, no stress. Eat the rainbow
Nourish your body from the inside out with fresh fruit and vegetables. A well-rounded diet gives you the vitamins you need to ensure your immune cells have the necessary tools to fight against infection. Try sticking to seasonal veggies when possible and incorporate potent superfoods like blueberries and pomegranates.

Prioritise sleep
You already know I’m an 8-9 hour a night kinda girl, but quality sleep is SO important when looking after our health and immune system. If your night routine could do with a little TLC to ensure quality sleep, see my top tips here

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
Drink up angels! We often forget to keep up our water consumption in the colder months, but staying hydrated works wonders to flush the toxins from your body and keep your immune system at its highest level.

Don't forget Vitamin D
Getting enough Vitamin D is important at all times of the year, but especially in Winter. This can be tricky with shorter days and cold weather, but adequate Vitamin D gives us mood-boosting hormones, fights seasonal depression and reduces inflammation. Soak up that sun when you can!

I love you,
