A REALISTIC NIGHT TIME ROUTINE.

I love sleep. Like, so much. Getting a restful night’s sleep isn’t always easy though with busy schedules, stresses from the day and a never ending TikTok feed at your fingertips. One of the best things you can do for you and your sleep is creating a realistic night routine.

My night routine can change slightly depending on how busy my day is, or what I have going on, but I have listed 5 steps that I always rely on to get me ready for a good night’s sleep. If you love sleep as much as me, read on angel.

put your phone down
This one is easier said than done. I’m sure we are all guilty of mindlessly scrolling Instagram or TikTok in bed, and before you know it, it's 11pm. I promise you though, you will feel so much better if you try to limit your screen time to 30 minutes before you go to sleep.

stretch it out
Before you go to bed, light a candle and spend 10 minutes doing a full body stretch to relieve any built-up tension from the day. This will allow your muscles to relax and ground your mind before bed. Make this your new before-bed habit with ease, by stretching with us online – we have an entire video library dedicated to Stretch & Release.

make a tea
Grab your favourite mug and make a cozy cup of chamomile or sleep tea. This is such a simple tip, but having a warm drink before bed really does get me in the headspace to wind down and relax.

write down your thoughts
Clear your mind of any late night stresses or swirling thoughts by taking pen to paper. Whether it’s making a to-do list of things you need to achieve the next day, or writing about any thoughts/emotions that you’ve been holding in throughout the day, putting it on paper allows you to relieve stress or anxiety.

read
I am really trying to read more this year, and my favourite time to churn through some chapters is before bed. It helps me to wind down and relax, and honestly sometimes sends me sleep in a matter of minutes! Not to mention, reading a good book to read also makes putting your phone away even easier.

sweet dreams my darlings,

Alexz. xo
