SPRING DIET & NO I DON'T MEAN FOOD.

It’s spring time in Australia & as much as I love winter time I can’t help by feel all warm & fuzzy inside when I feel the air change & can smell new buds blooming (allergies please don’t come for me this season).  Spring is a time for new beginnings, fresh starts & gearing up for the summer ahead. Now is the best time to refresh your diet. And no, I’m not referring to your daily food intake. Your diet is so much more than what you eat. It’s what you watch, what you listen to & the people you let into your life. A new season calls for an opportunity to revamp the content we allow ourselves to absorb.

So, without further a do, here are my top 5 ‘diet’ tips for Spring:

  1. Make a new playlist.

Nothing gets me more excited than new music. I love creating a new playlist on a Sunday night, especially before a big week begins, so that I look forward to listening to it as soon as I wake up. It’s literally like Christmas for me. Right now I’m listening to:

Drive & Disconnect – Nao
One Night – Two Another
Hurricane – Kanye West
Inhale Exhale – Nao

  1. Stretch, baby.

It’s time allocated to disconnecting from the world & reconnecting with your body. All it takes is 20-30 minutes. I like to do this at night when I’m either watching tv or just before bed when I’m off all devices and my mind is finally quiet. My go-to stretch routines are found on our online platform under Stretch & Release Library

  1. De-clutter your wardrobe.

Nothing screams Spring like a spring-clean. New season comes in, old season goes out – it really just makes sense. It may seem like the biggest, most thankless task – but trust me, once your wardrobe is clear your mindset follows. It’s like magic. My biggest tip here is to toss anything that isn’t an immediate YES.

  1. Queue up some quality reads.

I don’t always have time for myself, but when I do… you bet I’m curled up on the couch reading something soul filling or listening to a binge-worthy podcast series. I understand that reading may fall short on the priorities list, but it’s nice to have a list of must-reads/ must-listens to resort to when that time finally does free up. Right now I’m loving:

Books

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear
  • Be Bold by Alexis Fernandez
  • 101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think by Brianna West

  • Authentic Sex with Juliet Allen
  • Darling, Shine! With Chloe Fisher & Ellidy Pullin
