#MOVE FOR LEX & HOW YOU CAN HELP.

On Sunday 12th of September, our Hustl. Gold Coast family dedicated the morning to the Move For Lex foundation at our studio in Mermaid Beach. We had an amazing turn out, members could bring friends along, there were pink cupcakes, polaroid films, words of well wishes & of course we all got a sweat in with angel trainer, Em. All I can say is I am blown away with the generosity of this little family of ours, you girls have the biggest hearts.

There was plenty to be grateful for on Sunday morning, and the biggest takeaway we had was to not take life for granted & that movement is a blessing. Life is precious and we should try to remember this, even in the chaos of it all. Sending all of our love & light to Lex and her family during this time – we love you angel.

If you haven’t already heard about Lex’s journey, follow their Instagram page at @moveforlex and have a read below:

Alexa Leary, Noosa local, just turned 20 & is now 40 days into her recovery after a crash from her bike at Pomona. The accident caused traumatic brain injury and left her with significant memory loss and a lack of mobility on her right side. Lex's family & friends launched the #moveforlex campaign on Instagram to help regain memories & movement. The campaign, which has already attracted over 94,000 followers, was created to encourage others to "get out and get moving, do it for those who can't." At the moment, Lex can use her left hand to scroll messages & videos on her phone from her hospital bed at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital. Her dad, Russell, has reported back by saying that the positive effect on her had been astounding.
