8 QUICK FIXES FOR A BAD MOOD.

We all have those days, when you find yourself in a bit of funk. Getting stuck in a bad mood can be easy, and sometimes we don't always have a bath tub close by for us to zen out in. So, to avoid slaughtering the next person who looks at you funny we have put together a list of 10 quick fixes to get you back to your happy place. 

 

  1. Listen to music, good music.

And crank it up. Music stimulates blood flow, triggers happy memories and has been linked to reducing the signs of depression. I recommend tuning to the HUSTL. spotify and listening to a PACE playlist from top to bottom – warning, you will feel like a boss ass b*tch. If calming music is your thing, you do you.

 

  1. Go for a quick 10 minute walk around the block.

Trust us when we say nothing bad will ever come of stepping away from the screen and getting some fresh air. Hello serotonin!

 

  1. Literally google something funny, and laugh.

  1. Dance party, guests = you.

  1. Call someone you love.

Boost your sense of belonging and purpose by phoning a friend, even if its only for 5 minutes to see what they had for breakfast.

 

  1. Book yourself a self-care appointment.

My favourite is eyebrows, because when your eyebrows are in check everything else just seems to fall into place.

 

  1. Sit in the sun and eat a banana.

Just trust us on this one.

 

  1. Quick breathing exercise.

Slowing down our breathing sends messages to our brain to relax, ultimately de-stressing the body and making us feel human again.
