4 REASONS YOU'RE NOT SEEING RESULTS.
Firstly I would like to acknowledge that not everyone is training to achieve results. For many, exercise is simply a part of your weekly routine because you enjoy it, it leaves you feeling incredible and it can be a great way to relieve stress and boost your energy levels.
However if you are exercising with specific goals in mind, it can be frustrating when you are putting in the work; training hard and eating well, to find yourself making no progress and unable to see any changes.
I have broken down some common factors that may be getting in the way of the results you are striving for, but I will also note - it is so important to ensure your goals are realistic and attainable for you. If you are trying to be too ambitious or have to go to extreme lengths, you probably need to re-evaluate your expectations. We are all about creating balanced, healthy and maintainable relationships with exercise and food, not just quick fixes!
1. Are you getting enough sleep?
I have said it before and I will say it again my darlings, sleep is EVERYTHING.
Prioritise a solid 7-8 hours per night to allow your body a chance to rest & recover adequately, a lack of sleep can not only affect your energy levels, but it can also impact your hormones, metabolism and increase hunger levels.
2. Mix up your workout routine.
Challenge your body by switching up your workout routine; if you continuously completing the same workout or same set of movements day in day out, your muscles will become comfortable and will no longer have to adapt. With hundreds of different workouts available on the HUSTL. station platform, this is your sign to get out of your comfort zone and switch up your classes a couple of times a week, this is also a great way to boost motivation and keep your workouts fun & engaging.
3. Pay attention to your diet.
Good nutrition is just as important as exercising. It will not only improve your energy, mood & sleep, but it will also help you to achieve the results you are looking for. Focus on having a balanced diet that incorporates a healthy amount of protein, carbs, fats & nutrients. Aim to eat mostly wholefoods where you can, and limit the amount of pre packaged goods within your diet.
We strongly believe living life in a balanced way is SO important, so allow yourself to have sweet treats, meals out and the odd glass of wine when you want to. By allowing everything in moderation, you will be less likely to over indulge or feel restricted.
4. Stay positive, progress is progress, no matter how small.
Sometimes it can simply be a matter of allowing yourself more time; changes won’t happen overnight. Stay consistent, trust the process and remember that 1% better every day, can lead to big results.
You’ve got this, I love you.
